I am incredibly excited that I was asked to be a part of this. This will be Saturday August 20th at the Lily Pad in Inman Square. A collection of local artists will be gathering to display some of their work. There will also be music throughout the day, which will include solo sets from fellow members of The Okay Win, JM Craven and Adam McElreath (aka Big Big Buildings), and myself. JM never ever plays solo so I am incredibly eager to see what he has in store for this day. As for Adam, I’m not sure if there is someone I admire more when it comes to sincerity and creativity. It was an honor to have him join the band and being able to combine our heads during the song writing process has been a joy. He will also be showing off some of his amazing art.

For me, this will be a really fun day. I don’t really play solo anymore. Perhaps once a year. I did perform a solo set at a day party during Big Bullet Fest in West Virginia and had a great time doing it. My heart lies within the band dynamic, although I enjoy being able to have various approaches to songs, and being able to strip things down and have it be more intimate is still something I truly love. I’m going to use this opportunity to play some older songs that I haven’t played in years and possibly debut a few that no one has ever heard. I’m still figuring out the plan.
